Mature trees put real pressure on older lines
Established landscaping and older shade trees around Lauderhill properties send roots toward any available moisture, and an aging sewer lateral is exactly that.
Hydro jetting, Lauderhill base
High-pressure water scours the inside of the pipe clean, not just a channel through whatever is blocking it.
How is hydro jetting different from a standard drain cable?
A cable, sometimes called a drain snake, cuts or punches a channel through whatever is blocking a line: it opens a path for water to flow again, but it can leave grease coating the pipe walls or root fragments still attached. A hydro-jetting rig instead pushes water through a hose at high pressure, out a rotating nozzle built for the job, scouring the full diameter of the pipe clean rather than just tunneling through the middle of the blockage.
That makes it the better option for a grease-lined kitchen line, a sewer line with root intrusion, or any pipe that keeps clogging in the same spot no matter how many times it gets cabled. A camera inspection beforehand confirms the line can actually handle the pressure, since an already-compromised or very old pipe is not always a good candidate for it.
When jetting is the right call
These are the cases where a cable keeps coming back, and jetting actually finishes the job.
A kitchen line that clogs repeatedly despite cabling usually has a grease coating that a cable slides through but never actually removes.
Roots find their way into a sewer line through small gaps at pipe joints, and jetting clears root mass more thoroughly than cutting through it.
A cable that keeps needing to come back to the same section points to something coating or narrowing the pipe itself, not a one-time blockage.
When several drains along one line all run slow, the shared section between them is often carrying buildup along its entire length.
A thorough jetting and camera inspection ahead of a sale can catch a problem before it becomes a buyer’s negotiating point.

Built for this housing stock
Mature landscaping and older pipe materials both push more lines toward needing it.
Established landscaping and older shade trees around Lauderhill properties send roots toward any available moisture, and an aging sewer lateral is exactly that.
Older cast iron or clay sewer lines need the pressure calibrated to their condition, part of why a camera look happens first before jetting begins.
A condo building’s shared kitchen stack accumulates grease faster than a single-family line, and usually needs jetting on a more frequent schedule.

Before you call
Not when the pressure is matched to the pipe’s condition, which is confirmed with a camera inspection first. A severely deteriorated line may need repair instead.
Most residential lines finish within an hour or two, depending on the length of the line and how much buildup has accumulated.
It clears the root mass currently sitting in the line. If roots keep coming back season after season, that usually points to an open joint that needs repair, which a camera inspection would show.
It is a more thorough process, so it typically costs more than a basic cabling, but it also tends to solve a repeat-clog problem for good.
